Copyright & takedown
If you think something in Keylino uses your work without permission, tell us. Here's what we host, how to report it and what happens next.
What Keylino hosts
- The piece library is made of public-domain and openly licensed scores. For every piece we record where the score came from and its licence, and the app shows them on the piece's page.
- Student uploads are private. A score a student adds is seen only by that student and their family, never by other users. Students confirm they own the score or that it's public domain before uploading.
How to report
Use the form below, or email copyright@keylino.app. Please include:
- your name and how to contact you;
- the work you own (title, composer or arranger, edition or publisher);
- where it appears in Keylino: the piece title as shown in the app, or a link or screenshot;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you're the owner, or authorised to act for the owner.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your report and give you a reference number.
- We review it. We may ask you for more detail.
- If it's valid, we act promptly: we remove the piece or disable access to it, and tell the person who uploaded it.
- Counter-notice. If the uploader thinks it's a mistake (for example, the work is in the public domain or they have a licence), they can reply with their reasons. We'll pass that on to you and may restore the piece.
We disable uploads for accounts that repeatedly upload material that infringes copyright.
This page explains how Keylino handles copyright reports. It isn't legal advice for you. If you're unsure about your rights, talk to a lawyer or the Australian Copyright Council.
